New study showing high levels of formaldehyde based on faulty

experiments.

The New England Journal of Medicine recently published a study on e-cigarettes showing up to 15 times the amount of formaldehyde than found in an analog cigarette. This information is being reported across several media outlets in an effort to kill Vaping all together. The problem is that the reports findings are being reported out of context. The research team did in fact measure high levels of formaldehyde however these measurements were taken when running a CE4 (top wicking coil) at a HIGHLY ill advised 12 Watts of power. Furthermore, they were measured with 3-5 second puffs... repeatedly! Anyone that’s ever got a dry hit knows what we’re referring to here. The measurements are irrelevant because no one actually vapes a CE4 at 12 watts. It simply can’t be done with any measure of enjoyment. Formaldehyde is a byproduct of combustion (burning). The whole point with vaping is to avoid burning therefore avoiding the damaging chemicals caused by combustion. The published report above does show almost no measurable formaldehyde when used properly at 3.3 to 3.7 volts. We can make a case for ANYTHING being dangerous when not used properly. We encourage anyone with questions or concerns to check out these links for additional information:
